In a captivating episode of the ABtalks podcast, the talented singer expressed his appreciation for the advantages that accompany fame, while candidly discussing the negative consequences it has had on his family, particularly his daughter.

While acknowledging the allure of fame, Davido admitted, “I would lie to you if I say I don’t like fame but it has its good and bad parts, I get anything I want but it gets stressful because it affects the private aspect of my life and my family.

The influential artist shared a distressing incident involving his daughter, who became a target for bullying at school due to her association with him.

Davido revealed, “My daughter was even subjected to bullying in school solely because of her relation to me.

Furthermore, the repercussions of his fame extended beyond his immediate family, impacting his sister’s children as well.

The situation became so unsettling that his nieces and nephews were compelled to switch schools. Davido explained, “My sister had to move her kids out of school because they knew the kids were my nieces/nephews, and it was weird because of how people treated them, so now they are in different schools, and when they know they are related to me it is always crazy.”

Davido’s heartfelt account serves as a poignant reminder that fame carries both benefits and burdens. While he revels in the privileges his celebrity status affords him, the impact on his loved ones, particularly his daughter and nieces/nephews, sheds light on the complex nature of fame and its repercussions on personal lives.
