A Magistrate Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, has issued an order for the late singer Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, to be notified of a pending DNA application through alternative means.
The order was made public through a statement released on Wednesday by Monisola Odumosu, a representative of the Aloba family’s legal team.
According to the application, submitted by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, it requests permission to serve Wunmi by mailing all initial and subsequent legal documents to her last known address.
The statement highlighted that previous attempts by the sheriff to personally deliver the court documents to Wunmi were unsuccessful.
“If the process were served on the last known address of the respondent by Order of the court, it would constitute good service and she would be aware of the pending suit”.
Following these considerations, the Chief Magistrate directed that the court documents be posted to Wunmi’s last recorded address.
