Yewande Adekoya: Actress Still Under Arrest For Credit Card Fraud [DETAILS]

Nollywood Yoruba actress, Yewande Adekoya also known as Kudi Klepto is currently under arrest and being investigated in Altanta, Georgia in the United States.

Report has it that the actress was invited over to the US for an award event, Oodua Image Awards which held in October at Houston, Texas. She decided to stay back thereafter to shoot a film during which the crime happened.

Yewande Adekoya must have fallen prey to some Nigerians in Atlanta Georgia who used her bank accounts for fraudulent fund transfer.

With instruction to surrender her passport while investigations are still ongoing, a source revealed to Kemiashefonlovehaven in Atlanta, US, that she is presently undergoing questioning.

“Her account was used to make some fraudulent transfers in the United States and she was arrested for questioning. This is no new practice among some Nigerian actors and their foreign fraudulent promoters who use them for such crimes and they get huge cuts from such deals.”

Debunking the post by the actress that she’s back to Nigeria. the source says it’s a blatant lie as the actress is currently under house arrest and cannot leave the country.

“Is that the kind of video to release for such grave allegations? Its shoddy lacks substance and her husband is the one doing that on social media. Unfortunately for the couple (Yewande and Abiodun) they are adding more to their woes. Yewande should come out with her family and make a proper video and share Christmas family photos as other celebs have been doing, if she is truly in Nigeria,” a source in Atlanta said.

The award-winning actress, who is married to actor and movie producer, Abiodun Thomas, is ordered to home arrest and instructed to surrender her passport while investigations are still ongoing.

“She should keep quiet and stop embarrassing herself. If she is innocent of the bank fraud allegations, she should consult the Atlanta police and let them talk about her innocence.

“Her account was used to make some suspicious transfers in the United States and she was arrested for questioning. This is no new practice among some Nigerian actors and their foreign fraudulent promoters who use them for such crimes and they get huge cuts from such deals,” sources said.

Sometime in July also, another Yoruba actress, Lola Margaret was reportedly arrested for credit card fraud and jailed. U till now, there are no updates on her arrest.
