Wole Oduwole of TalkGlitz Media and Olusoji Okegbemi of Lusurgy Nigeria were present to share their diverse knowledge on digital marketing. ‘Wole coming from the angle of web content optimization, highlighted the basic required knowledge to bring yourself or your brand to the web space. The need to identify what you represent!

– If you’re the brand
– If you’re pushing a brand

Moving forward to how to bring your content to the web space also was analysed in two angles – either you pushing your contents as a contributor or author on a big known platform or you’re independently pushing your contents on your own created platform.

Content optimization for better search presence took the later part of the Wole’s session where he was able to buttress some factors to be considered before hitting the publish button. Among these factors are:

– Post titles – ensuring they’re catchy enough and brief
– Image optimization – using the right image with Alt Attributes and Titles
– Rich text – Use of bolds, headers, quotes where necessary and few to mention.

Olusoji whose approach was centred on social media marketing showed some practical use of digital tools for promotion and organic growth. The do’s and don’t’s of social media marketing and keys to becoming a successful social media influencer.

The need to leverage on what you can do is really important according to Soji. Contents should be on the table before anything else. Be it:

Comedy,
Yourself (your personality): what you’re known for
You engagement: how you engage your followers and replies (peculiar to Twitter)

Whichever way, you should represent a brand, when people can identify you with any of these things, you’d welcome on board as an influencer. The reality is most businesses scout for accounts with high feedback rates and engagements, which is what you’re selling as a digital influencer. So, there is a first need to position yourself in that line before you become viable in the line of duty.

Olusoji gave a practical guide to effective Facebook promotion focusing on major areas to fix before submitting your campaign. Starting with choosing the right goal depending on what you intend to achieve and selecting the right audience that your product appeals to. Also, keeping the demographic location in check and age bracket. The major differences and advantages of Daily Budget and Lifetime Budget were explained as well. His session was rounded up with what should be every social media practitioner routine which he discussed as “Analytics Check”.

Every Social Media Manager, in short, every digital marketer should pay huge attention to analytics be it Twitter Analytics, Instagram Insights, Facebook Analytics, Google (Web) Analytics to gain more insights into what should be done to improve your brand.

GCL Hub has more of these pieces of training in view. keep in touch with TalkGlitz Media Networks and GCL Hub for upcoming digital classes.
