Why Leeds v Chelsea is A Must Win For Both Sides
Leeds v Chelsea

The White Yorkshire club host the biggest club from the capital in what many fans across the world will see as a very important and must win  game for fans of both clubs. On Wednesday evening, Leeds United host Chelsea in what will be penultimate match for both clubs ahead of the final day. Both teams need to win but of course for very different reasons.

Whilst Chelsea are trying to extend the gap with London rivals Arsenal, the Whites are trying to save their season by avoiding relegation. Currently eighteenth, Leeds have to beat Chelsea to ensure they stay up for at least one more week before the final game of the season.  Chelsea have Arsenal tailing them and their manager Thomas Tuchel understands that one point may not be enough to keep them away from the Gunners.

Leeds appointed American tactician Jesse Marsch after the departure of the legendary Marcelo Bielsa, who won the Championship with Leeds. Leeds play an ultra high press that often leaves their defences open and vulnerable to conceding goals often. Elland Road star Raphinia is also seeking a move out of the club with Barcelona very interested and Manchester United set to rival their offer.

Both teams will want to win the game and ensure they save their skins, albeit very differently. Leeds have suffered injury crises with Patrick Bamford missing more than two-thirds of the season.  Chelsea are at an advantage when it comes to squad depth with Jorginho making his return to the side.  It proves to be a cracking game and definitely one that neutrals will watch out for as both Arsenal, Spurs, Everton and Burnley are all in and around that bubble, with the London clubs affected upwards on the log and the Lancashire and Merseyside clubs affected at the bottom of the log.
