A new dimension to the tragic story of George Floyd is sparking a debate on Twitter as new body camera footage of his arrest is making some believe that he may have been high on drugs at the time.
Floyd’s demise at the hands of Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin led to the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests currently rocking the United States and other parts of the world, as many have continued to protest police brutality against blacks.
Now, the release of the body cam video clip of Floyd’s arrest is making some Twitter users say that he had drugs in his system because according to them, he was even hyperactive before the cops laid their hands on him.

I just watched the George Floyd body cam footage…this man was having a panic attack brought on by ptsd or drugs the cops were not dealing with it at all. They murdered this man. Doesn't matter his state of mind how it happened or what he did. They murdered him be mad at that.

It doesn’t matter how high George Floyd was, any issue with the drugs he’d taken, or panic attack he was having, would have been exasperated by someone kneeling on his neck. #BlackLivesMatter

All I saw was a terrified man… The cops are trained “professionals” who murdered him after kneeling on his neck for nine fucking minutes. When are we going to stop expecting untrained citizens like George Floyd to be more civil than police officers? https://t.co/bqYuB80sy1
