Ex-Big Brother housemate and winner of the 2019 ”Pepper dem’ edition, Mercy Eke, is currently facing backlash from Nigerians over the insensitive comment she made against the ongoing BBNaija housemates.
The Imo state silicon queen stated that she was furious with her fans, who always tagged her on the housemate’s social media accounts, asking her to support those they were supporting.
Her word;
“Those of you tagging me to like or support who you want, are you mad?
”I came to the show I did my best and won, and now I have to keep hustling to make ends meet.
”I have a lot to do, a lot to be done rather than sit at home and watch the show as some of you.
”This is stuff is pissing me off, and the worse part is that I don’t even know any of “those people” in the house, and no one can force me to watch or support them.”
However, her rude and arrogant statements rubbed a cross-section of Nigerians off the wrong way, and they took to Twitter to lash out at her.
Some users emphasized the fact that she didn’t deserve to win the show, yet they used their hard-earned money to vote for her, while some of her fans expressed how disappointed they were.
