Trump Orders FBI To Investigate George Floyd’s Killing

 The president called Floyd's death a 'very, very sad' situation at Wednesday's aborted Space X launch in Florida

US President, Donald Trump has called on the federal government to investigate the case of George Floyd who died after a white police officer kneeled on his neck, despite him saying he could not breathe, in the US state of Minnesota.

Trump revealed on Wednesday that the FBI and Department of Justice are “well into” a probe into Floyd’s death, which was made at his request.

 Floyd died on Monday night after a cop kneeled on his neck while he was being arrested

“At my request, the FBI and the Department of Justice are already well into an investigation as to the very sad and tragic death in Minnesota of George Floyd,” Trump said on Twitter.

The president also said he’s asked for the probe to be expedited before sending his condolences to Floyd’s family and friends.

“I have asked for this investigation to be expedited and greatly appreciate all of the work done by local law enforcement,” Trump said.

“My heart goes out to George’s family and friends. Justice will be served!”
