Tristan Thompson Punched Draymond Green After ESPYs - How It Happened

A fight had ensued between Tristan Thompson and Draymond Green after the ESPYs that led to the former throwing punches.

The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers rivalry isn’t what it used to be now that LeBron James has left town to join the Los Angeles Lakers, but the bad blood between Draymond Green and Tristan Thompson still remains.

According to Bossip, the two were allegedly involved in an altercation earlier this month and it was Thompson who got the better of Green. The report claims that it all went down at Los Angeles nightclub Delilah, following the ESPYs on July 18.

“Both ballers were in the nightclub for a private party after the ESPY Awards July 18th, and we’re told that Thompson – dad of baby girl True with Khloe Kardashian – socked Green with a two-piece, getting the better of the NBA Champion.”

“And it was none other than their fellow teammates LeBron James and Kevin Durant that quickly stepped in to break up the fracas, we’re told. James apparently had enough and left the party shortly after the alleged incident.”

Fox Sports’ Jason McIntyre also revealed details of the alleged incident, claiming Draymond had gone up to Thompson to apologize about what happened after Game 4 of the 2018 NBA Finals, but TT wasn’t having it. After Draymond reportedly tried to make peace again, Thompson went ahead and punched him.

Green and Thompson got into it several times during the 2018 NBA Finals, culminating with the Warriors forward refusing to shake Thompson’s hand after the Warriors’ four-game sweep. Draymond was even quoted as saying, “I can’t meet him outside of (the arena), because I’ll still get fined, but I can meet him in the streets any day.” It appears as though Thompson took him up on that offer.
