President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, on Monday, paid a visit to Senator Ike Ekweremadu in his Abuja residence.
The visit comes after the Senator returned to the country from Germany, barely 48 hours after the assault on him by IPOB members.
Other dignitaries who also visited the lawmaker include Senator Chris Ngige, Hon. Nnoli Nnaji, Hon. Kingsley Ebenyi and Senator Gil Nnaji.
Senator Ike Ekweremadu has said that he has forgiven his attackers and would not seek retaliation. He further stated that attack was not a representation of who Nigerians are both at home and abroad. He then advised Nigerians to travel freely to any part of the world they wanted to since he had already put the issue behind him.
