It won’t be an understatement to say that one of Nigeria’s promising musicians, Sean Tizzle is in a fallout with the Music Industry right now. This has got his fans (if not everybody) wondering how his sound is losing face in the scene.
It’d be recalled how Tizzle struck gold in 2013 when he dropped “Sho Lee“. His partnership with D’tunes and Difference Entertainment created a path that launched him to limelight in a short space of time. However, since his split with with D’tunes, he’s yet to make another heavy strike.
Sean Tizzle followed suit of his Nigerian contemporaries hitting up international collaborations to do his own with Tory Lanez. But the “Hit & Run” song did’t improve his situation as supposed, it only compounded his predicaments. I mean how would you get a whole TORY LANEZ on a track and not make a wave with it? At that point, it became obvious Sean Tizzle was losing it.
What has happened to the energetic Tizzle that came with hits to claim Headies Next Rated in 2013 and later dropped the explosive album, “THE JOURNEY” with chart-topping tracks. The industry game is so tough right now that many are losing to contemporary new wave acts but not for artiste like Sean Tizzle. It’d be too early for him to lose shine to these buzzing acts. Would someone just wake him up before the game closes down on him.
He’s been running things with producer, Black Jerzee in the UK and whatever they’ve been up to, we yet to get a substantial result. His recent Moving Foward EP dropped like a needle without a sound. Somebody needs to get him back on track. It’s beyond time these artistes understood the gap between talent and talent management. Not all artistes will survive independently like Olamide and Wizkid. A few words out there to Tizzle, get a proper management or solid movement to invoke that music spirit in you once again.
Don’t get it twisted, Sean Tizzle is an independent talent who attained stardom with barely a feature with any A-list artiste but that doesn’t mean his talent alone is enough to run the show. He really needs to retrace his steps.
