Robert Mathis Arrested And Charged For Drunken Driving

Indianapolis Colts collaborator mentor and previous defensive lineman Robert Mathis was captured on a preparatory charge of tipsy driving.

Mathis was held in the Hamilton County Jail Tuesday morning on an underlying charge of working a vehicle while inebriated, records appear.

Carmel police captured Mathis soon after 12 pm Tuesday, as indicated by the online court records.

Mathis was added to the Colts training staff as a pass surge expert in September in the wake of working in an informal part for a couple of months. Mathis, a long-lasting Colt, was drafted in 2003 and went ahead to pile on 123 sacks more than 13 seasons.

Colts representative Avis Roper issued an announcement on the occurrence.

“We are aware of the incident involving Robert Mathis last night,” Roper said. “We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.”
