Suspected herdsmen have killed a pregnant woman in Nchatancha Nike in Enugu East Council Area of the state.
The expectant mother, whose name is yet to be ascertained, was murdered while returning from the farm. Her stomach was ripped open, and the baby removed.
The State Commissioner of Police, Suleiman Balarabe, said that police were handling the situation and promised to give more details.
The community members have blocked the Enugu-Abakaliki expressway, protesting the gruesome murder.
