Nigerian Police
Operatives of Ogun Police Command Friday shot dead a suspected armed robber at Ibara housing estate area of Abeokuta metropolis.

The person shot dead is said to be a member of a five-man robbery syndicate.

The incident occurred at 1 am on Friday when the armed suspected members of gang reportedly invaded a compound housing twelve flats and began to dispose the occupants of their valuable properties.

It was gathered that the police received a distress call from a neighbour, a development which made the Commissioner of Police, Iliyasu dispatched the Officer in charge of FSARS, Uba Adams.
