Acting President Yemi Osinbajo just announced that the Federal University, Oye Ekiti has been named after late Major General Adeyinka Adebayo who was buried on Friday, May 19 at his Iyin Ekiti hometown.
Major General Robert Adeyinka Adebayo who was the defunct governor of the Western Region died on March 8 at the age of 89.
The university will now be referred to Adeyinka Adebayo University, Oye Ekiti.
