Nigerian sensational singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has come forward to dispel misconceptions surrounding his status as a newbie in the music industry.

In a surprising revelation, Spyro claims to have a longer tenure in the industry compared to many other Nigerian artists. The “Who’s Your Guy” crooner took to his Instagram page on Tuesday to share this eye-opening declaration.

Spyro captivated his followers by sharing a post that partly read, “It is funny how a lot of people think I’m a new cat *lol. I have been here way before most of your faves.”

In an effort to solidify his claims, the talented artist attached a clip and art cover of his throwback songs to the post, aiming to prove his extensive experience in the music industry.

During his revelation, Spyro disclosed his initial aspiration to follow in the footsteps of the late Dagrin, a renowned rapper.

He revealed that he had contemplated taking over Dagrin’s legacy but later transitioned from rapping to singing. This decision marked a pivotal moment in Spyro’s musical journey, shaping the path he would eventually tread.

Surprising his followers with unexpected collaborations, Spyro unveiled that he had joined forces with none other than Tiwa Savage back in 2010. At the time, he was still known as “Freeze” and was predominantly recognized for his rapping skills.

Furthermore, Spyro revealed another intriguing collaboration, this time with the late legendary artist Sound Sultan. In 2014, Spyro and Sound Sultan worked together on a project, showcasing the depth of Spyro’s involvement in the industry.

These collaborations acted as stepping stones in his musical journey, pushing him forward and paving the way for his ultimate breakthrough.
