Trouble may be brewing for Marvel as they are being sued for copyright infringement with the ‘90s X-Men: The Animated Series at the center of the lawsuit.

A man named Zoltan Krisko is suing Marvel Entertainment and other companies due to the theme song of the animated series bearing similarities to that of a Hungarian cop show from the ‘80s called Linda.

The lawsuit is being filed on behalf of the estate of Gyorgy Vukan’s estate. Vukan composed the Linda theme song. Similarities between both songs have been mentioned online but no legal action has been taken until now.

According to a report from TMZ, the lawsuit also lists Disney, Fox, Amazon, and others. The complaint is that the success of the X-Men animated series is as a result of the song which Krisko alleges was stolen.

X-Men: The Animated Series is an American animated television series which debuted on October 31, 1992.
