Some disappointed fans and not-really fans are currently dragging Wizkid on social media for losing in his two Grammy nominations. Most especially for losing to a Pakistani singer who is a first time nominee.
Arooj Aftab from Pakistan won the award for the Best Global Music Performance while Angelique Kidjo won the Best Global Music Album – both stealing shine from Wizkid.
Now, the tweet is “machala in the mud”.
This might sound off for some as Nigerians are the ones doing this – but it’s expected based on the top three competitors in the music industry (Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido). TalkGlitz understands that those that have their tents pitched at the other two sides are the ones doing the backlashing.
