Mace Theft: Police Arrest Suspended Senator Omo-Agege (PHOTOS)

The Senator representing the Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta State, Ovie Omo-Agege, was arrested following the invasion of the Senate plenary session on Wednesday by men suspected to be thugs.

The suspects made away with the mace, which is the symbol of authority of the Senate.

The Senate said that Omo-Agege connived with the invaders to steal the mace.

The upper chamber of the National Assembly therefore ordered his arrest by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; and the Director General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura.
