The last surviving wife of Nigeria’s first prime minister, late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Hajiya Jummai Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, is reportedly dead.
According to The Nation, the deceased who had been battling heart disease had been recently discharged from an Indian hospital where she went to seek medical attention.
The late Hajiya reportedly died in Lagos in the early hours of Sunday, October 27.
Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, granddaughter of the late Balewa was said to have confirmed her death.
