The Lagos State Commissioner for Health Professor Akin Abayomi has contracted the novel coronavirus.
The news was made known in a tweet on Monday, August 24, 2020, by Gawat Jubril, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media.
According to the tweet, Prof. Abayomi will go into the mandatory 14 days isolation and home care immediately while “he continues to discharge his duty as Deputy Incident Commander.
