Governor Dapo Abiodun Nominates Ex-NUJ President, TASUED VC As Commissioners

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has forwarded the names of two nominees – former National President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Waheed Odusile; and Vice-Chancellor, Tai Solarin University of Education, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, to the state House of Assembly for confirmation as Commissioners.

The governor, in a letter to the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Kunle Oluomo, asked the House to screen the VC for the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology and the former NUJ President for Information and Strategy.

Chief Press Secretary to Abiodun, Kunle Somorin, in a statement, also announced the appointment of Fola Onifade as the General Manager of the State Signage and Advertising Agency; and Sesan Asenuga as GM, Parks and Garages Development Board.

Tolu Bankole was named Senior Special Assistant to the Governor and Ifekayode Akinbode was appointed Consultant (Media).

Odusile, who had served as President of the Federation of African Journalists, was Managing Editor with The Nation Newspapers.

Prof Arigbabu

Arigbabu, a professor of Mathematics Education, holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Science, and Technology from the University of South Africa, with a specialization in Mathematics Education.
