Governor Nyseom Wike of Rivers state has sacked all the state commissioners and also dissolved the executive council.
This was mentioned in a statement by the Special Assistant to the Governor on electronic media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
According to Mr. Nwakaudu, the governor directed all former commissioners to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries.
He further noted that the Governor appreciated the former commissioners for their service to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.
This is coming after the Governor sacked His Commissioner of Works, Engr.Bethuel Harrison and the resignation of His Information and Communication Commissioner, Dr. Austin Tam-George.
It was gathered that the Governor’s action is part of his strategic plan to bring on board strong politicians who have the capacity to ensure He retains His seat till 2023.
