German Police Identify Four Suspects Involved In Ekweremadu’s Assault

The German police say it has identified four suspects who took part in the attack on Senator Ike Ekweremadu.

First Chief Commissioner of Police, Robert Sandmann, said that the four individuals are being investigated for coercion.

On Monday, the prosecutor’s office was informed; they subpoenaed the investigation file for the next day, and then decided their next steps. Witnesses were also heard and also the available video material was secured and investigated.

Ekweremadu, a federal lawmaker representing Enugu West Senatorial District, had been attacked by suspected members of IPOB in Germany.

The senator subsequently stated that he had chosen to forget the incident as the actions of the group involved did not reflect that of Nigerians.
