Evans Risks Death Penalty As Ambode Signs Kidnapping Bill

The Lagos state governor Akinwunmi Ambode has signed kidnapping prohibition bill into law recently.
The billionaire kidnapper Evans may risk death penalty or life imprisonment according to the provision of the just propounded law.

The governor said the law was enacted to address key issues bordering on security The Lagos state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has signed into law, the state kidnapping prohibition bill, 2016 which prescribes life Imprisonment or death penalty for the offense of Kidnapping and forceful extortion in Lagos state.

Vanguard reports that the law provides for a death penalty for kidnappers whose victims die in their custody and life imprisonment for the act of kidnapping.

Meaning that the recently arrested notorious kidnapper, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, a.k.a. Evans might get a life imprisonment or death penalty sentence. Meanwhile, his trial is yet to begin.
