After the successful completion of the 15th Headies award, some fans kept wondering why some biggest names in the industry such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, and so on didn’t show up for the event.
Wizkid who had graced the last occasion which was held in Nigeria was confirmed to have missed out on the award ceremony as a result of having a show in the UK on the same day of the event which had been from Sunday the 4th of September till Monday the 5th of September 2022.
This was confirmed by his manager Sunday Are at the event who had stepped on stage to receive his awards.
Burna Boy had been named as one of the major headliners for the ‘Made In America‘ festival 2022 which had also been on the same day as the headies awards.
Wizkid being the biggest winner of the night with Burna Boy also picking 2 awards in major categories as well.
