Don Jazzy, the veteran Nigerian producer and singer, has disclosed why he has not yet released any song with Grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid.
In a Q&A session on his Instagram page, the Mavin boss revealed that he recorded two songs with Wizkid, but none was ever released.
During the session, a fan had asked Don Jazzy when he would release a song with Wizkid. In response, Don Jazzy explained that he and Wizkid had recorded two songs together, but they were not good enough to be released.
He added that sometimes artists have days when they make songs that do not resonate with people.
Don Jazzy went on to reveal that he and Wizkid had previously worked together on Dr. Sid’s ‘Surulere’ remix years back. He also hinted that they might drop more collaborative songs in the future.
Don Jazzy is a well-known music producer and artist in Nigeria, with several awards to his name. He has worked with several prominent musicians, both in Nigeria and internationally, including D’banj, Tiwa Savage, Jay Z, and Kanye West.
On the other hand, Wizkid, a Grammy award-winning artist, is one of the most successful musicians in Africa, with several hit songs to his credit. He has collaborated with several international artists such as Beyoncé, Drake, and Skepta.
