Cristiano Ronaldo Named Serie A Best Player Of The Season

Cristiano Ronaldo has been rated the best player in the 2019/20 Serie A season. The Juventus star scored 31 goals for his side who won the League title. Ciro Immobile who was the highest goal-scorer also made the team of the term in a ranking done by Whoscored.com.

This is a great achievement for the Juventus star who joined the Old Lady from Real Madrid and has now won the award two times.

Last Sunday, the Italian Serie A season came to an end in which Cristiano Ronaldo and his Juventus teammates were crowned the champions in remarkable style. Cristiano Ronaldo has now won the Serie A title twice in his career as it will be recalled that he also lifted the crown during his first season with the Old Lady.

Whoscored however took their time to present the team of the season in which Cristiano Ronaldo was rated as the best with 7.82 rating. Despite being a 35-year-old player in which many of those that started football with him had retired, Cristiano Ronaldo showed high qualify last season by scoring 31 League goals.

However, the Portuguese missed the golden shoe award which was won by Lazio star Ciro Immobile who ended the season with 36 goals and matched Gonzalo Higuain’s record in Serie A. Ciro got 7.57 rating, while Atalanta forward Josip Ilicic got 7.65 percent despite scoring 15 goals last season. Manchester United defender Chris Smalling who plays for Roma on loan also made the list with 7.00 percent after scoring three goals for his side last term.

Moreover, Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates are now preparing for their Champions League tie in which the Portuguese will want to succeed this term.
