Popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as “Portable,” has been released from Ilaro Correctional Centre following the perfection of his bail conditions. The singer was remanded on two different cases which involved stealing and assault. He was granted bail on the condition of paying N300,000 and N500,000 for the stealing and assault cases, respectively. The cases have been adjourned till April 26 for the commencement of trial.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has mandated a re-election in nine polling units at Ganaja Village in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State due to logistical problems that prevented elections from taking place during the presidential and National Assembly elections. Election materials and officials have been redeployed to the area for a smooth and transparent re-election process on Sunday, February 26. INEC has urged the people of Ganaja Village to come out en-masse to exercise their franchise in this important election.
