Artist Focus: Aiye Singer, "Barry Jhay"

On this week’s TalkGlitz Artist Focus, our radar hovers around Afro-pop and new school musical artist, Barry Jhay.

His real name, Oluwakayode Junior Balogun, the “Aye O le” singer shares a strong lineage with the late fuji garbage legend, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. Barry Jhay is often regarded as Barrister’s son, a fact we really can’t hold to ground only that they share strong relation.

Little wonder why he samples Barrister’s tune in one of his songs, ‘Tomorrow”.

Barry Jhay hit the wave with his “Aye” in 2018 and it stands out as one of the songs that rocked the year. An inspirational song laced with positive lyrics that convey a heavy message.
