Arsenal signed Partey from Atletico Madrid on a five-year deal in 2020 for a fee around £42m. The Ghanaian has been a pivotal part of Mikel Arteta’s  team and in their quest to qualify for the Champions League next season. Partey is currently injured but it does not take away his importance to the Arsenal squad.

Arthur Melo and Thomas Partey are both defensive midfielders who can also operate as box-to-box midfielders. Arsenal are very happy with Partey and the Arsenal hierarchy consider him ”unsellable”. Melo was formerly a Barcelona player before he was traded by the Catalan giants for Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic.  Juventus are wiling to add £10m plus the Brazilian to land Partey at the Allianz Stadium next season.

Partey is also not interested in moving away from Arsenal anytime soon and it is likely the club will offer him a new and improved deal in order to ward off clubs that may be interested in Partey. Arsenal’s priorities are signing a new striker and another goalkeeper as Bernd Leno is close to a return to Germany. Juventus will also make approaches for other holding midfielders in the coming weeks as they prepare for next season.

Arsenal are currently in line for a return to the UEFA Champions League since 2017, when they were last in the competition. With 66 points and one behind Chelsea, Mikel Arteta is pushing for a place to play in Europe’s most prestigious tourney. Arsenal are working on giving Gabriel Martinelli a new contract and the Brazilian is willing to accept at the opening of the transfer market.

Juventus will want to forget this season as they are out of the title race for the Scudetto, losing 2-1 to Genoa after going a goal up. The Juve board are working on bringing renowned top talents to the club and are narrowing their options to the Serie A, with Partey an exception.
