Barely 48 hours after the Onitsha fire incident, reports have surfaced online of another tanker spilling its content and fire engulfing the area.
Social media platform Twitter was agog with reports of a road traffic accident between a truck and a tanker along Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, resulting in the latter spilling its content on the road with the inevitable fire. Traffic was affected and road users have been warned to avoid the location.
The cause of the accident has not been ascertained but the rain which fell early this morning could have been a contributing factor as low visibility must have been experienced by both drivers.
However, unlike the Onitsha fire incident, this one was subdued, thanks to the valiant effort of the firefighters. Check out the tweets below:

Jeez not again!
Under two months there's been incidents involving oil tankers, and now this one at Ozumba M.
Sincerely, govt needs to address this petroleum products carrying tankers asap, make alternative routes for them or restrict their movement to certain time of the day. https://t.co/KXVyASlK9L
