Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Uli, Anambra State is the first university in the nation to resume regardless of the decision of the Federal Government on tertiary institutions to stay shut.

The Registrar of the University, Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Ezeibe for the benefit of University the board committee reported the resumption of first-year students of the university and last year students of Medicine.

The Registrar said in her explanation that the resumption is just for the first-year students to get ready for their first-semester assessment and last year’s medical students to compose their mock examination in anticipation of their last assessment.

Ezeibe asked the year one and last year medical students to watch all the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines, particularly the wearing of facemask, social and physical distancing, and utilization of hand sanitizers.

She determined that new and last year medical students are to be in school from August to September 3.She added that students are required to return home in the wake of finishing their papers as they are just returning to the grounds to finish their first-semester examination, while they anticipate the official date of resumption of schools from the Federal Government
