Akwa Ibom State University ‘AKSU’ on Wednesday 30th September commence their first semester exams for students in 400 & 300 level (4 years course) And 500 & 400 level (5 years course) respectively.

The leadership of NANS and other Comrades who went on a courtesy visit to the institution were cheerfully received by the Management, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nse Essien, and other management of the University.

The team observed the full level of preparedness, strict adherence, and compliance to the State COVID-19 school reopening guidelines, ranging from the positioning of wash hand basins in strategic positions in the institution, compulsory use of facemasks by all students and staff, placing of information and awareness campaign, isolation room in the medical center, etc to mention but a few, among others.

The Coordinator of NANS ZONE B Comr Etinyene Friday Offongekpe commended the management of the institutions after assessing their level of preparedness and readiness, as strict compliance to the State COVID-19 and NCDC guidelines were strictly adhered to, for the safety of Nigerian students and the general public.
