Adesua Etomi, a Nigerian actress and wife of musician Banky W has been honored by her alma mater, University of Wolverhampton in the UK as a notable alumnus by engraving her face on the university wall alongside prominent figures that passed through the school.
Feeling grateful, Adesua shared the landmark achievement on her Instagram with the caption:
Today, I’m grateful for my university education. I remember how my mum and I would sit and wonder how we’d pay my university fees every single year.
It’s amazing how God took me from that to being celebrated and put on the wall by the same university that we could barely afford.
It may look hard right now but hang in there, there’s nothing God cannot do.
It will end in praise but remember to put in the work.
Adesua studied Drama and Performance at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating with first-class honours in 2006 after which she returned to Nigeria to start her acting career.
