2 Chainz rolls a new record on WondaGurl and Mike Dean production and it’s titled “Whip”. Featuring Travis Scott, the hip-hop song boasts of chart-topping and slam records.
In the sixth track off of 2 Chainz’s highly anticipated album Rap or Go to the League, Chainz and longtime collaborator Travis Scott deliver verses with reference to KFC, previous songs, and multiple automobiles.
This isn’t the first time Travis Scott and 2 Chainz have worked together on a song: they have been at it as far back as 2013, when Scott released the first single for his upcoming debut album Owl Pharoah, titled “Upper Echelon”, which also featured T.I.. The two came together again (alongside Future) in 2015 for “3500”, a single for Travis Scott’s album Rodeo. A year later, Scott was featured in Pretty Girls Love Trap Music on the song “4AM”, which is referenced in the chorus.
Back at it again, whippin’ again, once again, yeah (Yeah)
Out on the East, park up the Benz, I’m the same, yeah (Yeah)
Skrrt off the block, hittin’ your crib, no advance, yeah (Yeah)
Rip off the shirt, rip off the, rip off the, rip off the pants
Do it no hands, yeah, do it, no handstand
While we throw bands in, while we throw bands up
They really wanna keep us outside (Outside)
‘Cause you know we go way too live (Too live)
Too turnt up for your club (Too turnt up)
4AM, ain’t fucked up
