2019: Senator David Mark Joins In Presidential Race

Senator David Mark, a former president of the Nigerian Senate, is ready to join in the presidential race in the 2019 elections.

Mark will join other aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the race for the 2019 presidential election as he is set to get the party’s expression of interest form. James Oche, the co-coordinator of Door2Door, a support platform for Mark, confirmed the development on Monday, September 3

According to Oche, David Mark will get his expression of interest and nomination forms for the election on Tuesday, September 4. Oche added that his boss had carried out a nationwide consultation before reaching the decision to join the battle. He said Mark’s presidential race is aimed at helping to salvage the entity called Nigeria from a total collapse. “Yes, the last man standing has arrived. He would be picking his forms on Tuesday. It is time to save Nigeria from collapse,” Daily Nigerian quoted Oche as saying.

former Kano state governor and PDP presidential aspirant, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, expressed confidence that the huge number of presidential aspirants vying for the party’s ticket in the 2019 presidential election would not lead to the party’s implosion.

Shekarau, a former minister of education, stated this in a statement after a condolence visit to the governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson, on the demise of his mother, at his Toru-Orua country home in Sagbama local government area of the state.
