Mr. Latin, in an exclusive interview with 32FM in Ibadan, disclosed that TAMPAN has already expended over N10 million on addressing health challenges faced by actors.

He emphasized the association’s willingness to help its members. However, he pointed out that they face constraints when it comes to assisting certain ailing individuals.

According to Mr. Latin, the primary reason TAMPAN cannot extend support to some of its ailing members is their lack of activity within the association.

These actors, often overwhelmed by shame, do not reach out to TAMPAN for assistance. Instead, they resort to seeking help via the Internet, radio, or television, knowing that their inactivity prevents the group from intervening on their behalf.

“We are always ready to come to the aid of all active members. Since assuming the role of TAMPAN President, we have allocated over N10 million to address the health challenges faced by our actors,” Mr. Latin revealed.

He continued, “The individuals you see appealing for financial assistance on the radio or TV are not active members of our association.”

Mr. Latin’s statements shed light on the criteria TAMPAN employs to determine its beneficiaries. The association’s focus on assisting active members underscores its commitment to supporting those who are actively engaged in the industry.
