For the second time this season, Victor Osimhen has been named the Serie A player of the month after the Nigerian was voted for in March 2022.

Ironically, the award came for the 23-year-old striker on the day Nigeria crashed out of the race for Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup following a 1-1 aggregate scoreline that saw Ghana progress on the away goals rule.

Meanwhile, the Napoli striker was for the first time named Serie A Player of the Month in September 2021 after netting seven goals in six appearances for Napoli in September.

For March 2022, Osimhen was elected by the Lega Serie A as the best player of the month of March having scored four goals in three games for Napoli.

His braces against Verona and Udinese were decisive for the recognition.

The trophy will be awarded in the pre-match of Napoli – Fiorentina, scheduled for Sunday, April 10 at the “Diego Armando Maradona” stadium in Naples.

The ranking was drawn up according to the statistical surveys of Stats Perform while matches from the 28th to the 30th of the Serie A 2021/2022 season were considered for the final calculation.

Among the main characteristics that fetched Osimhen the gong include Technical Efficiency Index of 96.7%, in line with the Top Players at the European level; an amazing state of the form: 97.7% Physical Efficiency represents the seasonal record, with peaks of 99% in very high acceleration actions; more and more tactically mature (K-Movement at 95.7%), always looking for the quickest way to get to the goal (Offensive Aggression 97%);

Also, the Nigerian was considered the first defender of the team, who contributes to the non-possession phase with a Pressing Index of 95% and reportedly unstoppable when he starts any match by exceeding the sprint threshold almost 20 times (25 km / h), reaching speed peaks of over 34 km / h.
