In a surprising turn of events, the British heavyweight boxing scene is left in shock as Tyson Fury unequivocally dismisses the possibility of a showdown with his rival Anthony Joshua, asserting that no amount of money or titles could entice him into the ring with the fellow fighter.
Despite coming agonizingly close to sealing the deal for an epic clash between the British giants, the negotiations have hit an impasse that seems insurmountable. The fervently anticipated match, slated for August 2020, with terms locked in, was poised to crown an undisputed champion. However, Fate intervened as Fury was obligated to engage in a contractual trilogy with Deontay Wilder, effectively derailing the grand plans.
During the time Fury grappled with Wilder, Joshua pivoted to face Oleksandr Usyk in two intense battles. The outcomes of these clashes dealt a blow to Joshua’s career trajectory, as he suffered back-to-back points defeats, pushing his career perilously close to a crossroads.
