Tinubu Holds First Meeting With All State Governors
This gathering marks the president’s first engagement with the collective body of governors. The meeting, which began promptly at 12:36 pm on Wednesday, is anticipated to address pressing issues and foster harmonious collaboration among the nation’s leaders.

The presidential villa in Abuja serves as the esteemed venue for this significant event. Notably, a diverse representation of governors has been observed, with prominent figures from various states in attendance.

Among those present are the governors of Zamfara, Kano, Taraba, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Lagos, Rivers, Osun, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Oyo, Plateau, Kebbi, Abia, Imo, and Bauchi.

Demonstrating a commitment to their respective states, the deputy governors of Edo and Niger have graciously attended the meeting on behalf of their governors.

In addition to the governors, influential figures such as Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, the newly appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume, and the National Security Adviser (NSA) Major General Babagana Monguno are also in attendance.

It is noteworthy that all the state governors present at the meeting are unified under the umbrella of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).

This unified front amplifies their collective voice, as they strive to address and resolve pertinent challenges facing their respective states and the nation as a whole.

Notably, this gathering is coming after the president last Friday met with the governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the aegis of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF).

The comprehensive meeting officially commenced shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of Senator George Akume as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

As the discussions continue within the confines of the presidential villa, Nigerians remain hopeful that this gathering of influential leaders will yield fruitful outcomes and lead to the implementation of effective strategies for national progress.

The outcomes of this momentous meeting are eagerly anticipated and are expected to have far-reaching implications for the nation’s development and prosperity.
