Music executive and entrepreneur, Ubi Franklin has responded to Timaya’s callout.
Timaya had called Ubi out earlier today warning him not to stick his mouth into his matters but rather keep doing the nanny job for Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The singer also claimed he had beaten Ubi Franklin in a fight earlier in 2021.
He wrote:
Ubi Franklin u remember the beating I gave u in January last year? Don’t let me beat u againit,and pls I like your new JOB. As Ifeanyi’s NANI and pls don’t mess it up. DAvido is a good guy he can make ur life. Pls focus on ur new JOB. Thanks (sic)
Responding to his claims, Ubi said:
Egberi, Oya na (meaning; bring it on). Say the truth, talk who helped you that day Timaya
You know the truth.
He went further to explain the cause of the rift describing the musician as being petty. According to Ubi, Timaya’s recent outburst was a result of him pointing out his error in the hit-and-run incident.
Recall earlier this month, Timaya was accused of hitting a woman with his car and fleeing. The singer later gave his account of his incident and rendered a public apology.
Ubi still went ahead to criticize Ubi’s apology on Twitter. He wrote:
Dear Timaya, as a senior man in the Nigerian Enterainment Industry, the first thing you would have done when you were accused was to apologize as you have just done and then call the victim’s family.
Your live video the other day showed you cared less about the situation.

Ubi believes he still holds a grudge against him for speaking the ‘fact’.
Timaya is so petty.
You are angry cos I told how wrong it was to knock a woman down and leave here to her fate.

I am not a person that will see wrong and keep quiet.
You were wrong to have knocked that’s woman down and left her there.
Period.
On the claims that he (Timaya) gave him a beat of his life in January 2021, Ubi says it’s all lies. He says he would look for the footage and probably share it for everyone to see how he dealt with him.
