Nollywood actor, Adeniyi Johnson, has made an emotional appeal to the Nigerian police and other relevant agencies to consider showing mercy in the pending case of skit maker, Trinity Guy.
The skit maker is presently in detention in Ibadan following a dangerous prank that involved sexualizing a minor.
In a heartfelt plea shared on his Instagram page, Adeniyi Johnson acknowledged the gravity of Trinity’s actions, describing them as both wrong and absurd. However, he emphasized that Trinity was driven by the need to provide for himself.
Adeniyi candidly expressed that Trinity’s struggle for survival led him to cross the boundaries of the law.
He addressed the Nigerian police force and other associated agencies, urging them to temper justice with mercy when dealing with Trinity’s case.
In a message addressed to the authorities, Adeniyi Johnson wrote: “Dear Nigerian police force and every other related agencies!!!! Many of us agree that our brother did what is wrong and absurd!! All I am pleading for is to TEMPER JUSTICE WITH MERCY. Please trinity guy is a young man looking for what to eat legally but he incidentally fell on the wrong side of the law!! Please be merciful as I know he has learnt already”.
