The draw for the 2023 Women’s World Cup is complete, and we now know that the opening game of the tournament will be a showdown between co-hosts New Zealand and 1995 world champions Norway, at Auckland’s Eden Park on July 20.

Meanwhile, World Cup holders the USWNT will kick their tournament off against Vietnam—another nation making it’s first finals appearance.

In football, there are four seats reserved for the United States in the World Cup: one automatic and three spots determined by playoffs in February. These playoffs will be split into three mini-knockout tournaments dubbed Group A, Group B, and Group C.

The following countries are in Group A: Portugal; Cameroon; and Thailand. The following countries are in Group B: Chile; Senegal; and Haiti.
