Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), just two days after losing the senatorial seat to Kelvin Chukwu of the Labour Party in Enugu East. In his personal statement, the former governor of Enugu State cited “irreconcilable differences with the national leadership of the party” as his reason for leaving.

Senator Nnamani, who also serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Cooperation & Integration in Africa/NEPAD, expressed his gratitude to Nigerians, particularly the Ebeano political family, for their support throughout his political career. He acknowledged his associates and constituents, whom he consulted before making the decision to leave the PDP.

Moving forward, Senator Nnamani hopes that his contributions to the development of his constituency will serve as a foundation for future growth. He urged his supporters to remain steadfast in their commitment to progress in the years to come.

In addition, the former governor reaffirmed his relationship with President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pledged to continue working alongside him. Senator Nnamani believes that a Tinubu administration will prioritize good governance, rule of law, and human rights for the betterment of all Nigerians.
