Salah’s agent has held talks with Liverpool regarding a salary increment but talks fell through and have resulted in a postponement of conversations between both parties. Salah’s wish for a pay rise has been left unanswered by the Liverpool board and the player was rumored to be closing in on a move to the La Lia or the Ligue 1.

After today’s training session, Salah spoke to the media and answered questions relating to him leaving the club. When asked if he will leave at the end of the season, he answered in the negative. ”I am staying next season, that’s clear,” he said. ”I don’t want to be selfish, it;s not the right time to speak about the contract.” he further stated during the press conference.

The 29-year-old is reportedly enjoying his stay at Anfield and he is currently savoring every moment. Salah has been linked to various clubs like PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. Jurgen Klopp has stated there is harmony in the squad and everyone is fully focused. When asked about the 3-1 loss to Madrid in 2018, he said he was not interested in revenge, further stating that it was not by accident they were in the final again.

Sadio Mane was also pressed about his future and the Senegal winger doggedly avoided the question, stating that it was not the right time to talk about the contract situation as they had a final on Saturday.  Mane has been a huge part of Klopp’s even years at Liverpool, having played in six of those and becoming a mainstay in the forward line.

The Reds are fully focused on Saturday and will travel to Paris on Friday ahead of the biggest European game at the Stade De France.
