Quater-Final Battle Begins at The Etihad Stadium
Manchester City v Atletico Madrid

The UEFA Champions League Quater-Final will commence tonight with Premier League champions Manchester City hosting Atletico Madrid at the Etihad Stadium. The La Liga defending champions are up against another Manchester rival after knocking out Manchester United at Old Trafford in the round of 16.

Manchester City will be looking to continue their excellent form on the continental stage and with a nearly fit squad,Pep Guardiola is optimistic about a victory. City are without centre back Ruben Dias and winger Cole Palmer as the duo miss out through injury. Atletico Madrid could be without Jose Gimenez who was forced off in their 4-1 demolition of Alaves. The defender is a doubt for the epic match and will be largely missed.

Both teams have never won the competition with Atletico coming close in 2014 and 2016 only to lose in both finals to Real Madrid, their cuty rivals. Manchester City lost in the final last season against Chelsea  courtesy Kai Havertz goal.

Both teams will be looking to go one better this season as they continue their hunt for European glory.
