The French champions had their initial offer of €100 million rejected back in June. While the new bid falls short of Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis’ valuation, it still surpasses the offers made by other interested clubs.

According to various reports, Napoli currently values Osimhen at a remarkable €150 million, a price tag that has deterred other potential suitors. De Laurentiis, recognizing PSG as the sole team capable of affording the highly talented striker, has dismissed other interested parties, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, who have expressed their desire to secure Osimhen’s services.

In an interview with Mediaset, De Laurentiis emphasized, “The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain. If (PSG president) Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to submit a bid around €200 million, we will wait and see what happens. I personally believe that Victor will stay here.”

In the meantime, negotiations between Osimhen and Napoli for a contract extension are reportedly underway, as reported by Calciomercato. The Italian club aims to introduce a release clause in the new contract, which would only become valid in the summer of 2024, with a fee exceeding €100 million.

The pursuit of Victor Osimhen has become a captivating transfer saga, with PSG making significant efforts to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season. While their previous bid was turned down, their renewed offer of €120 million demonstrates their determination to secure the highly sought-after Nigerian forward. Fans and football enthusiasts around the world await the outcome of this intriguing transfer battle, as Osimhen’s future hangs in the balance.
