Nuno Mendes signs permanently for PSG

The 19-year-old is tipped for great things and his commitment to the club has helped ease off some transfer pressures of hunting for another defender.  Nuno Mendes signed from Sporting Lisbon on loan, though there was a buy option in the clause that allowed Nuno Mendes to be sold permanently.

PSG have now triggered the option to buy Nuno Mendes and are delighted to announce he is now a full-time player for them. The French champions have been working on the deal for months and luckily, Nuno Mendes was cooperative and desired to remain in the French capital.

PSG have triggered the £34.5m clause that allowed Nuno Mendes to leave Sporting Lisbon this summer and the fullback is eager to continue at the club. The defender has signed a contract that expires in June 2026.

The French giants are now working on other deals for incoming players and then preparing for the season. The club are working to sign a winger; Ousmane Dembele is a favoured option but the winger is considering other options elsewhere. However, he will not rule out PSG if the right salary is negotiated.
