The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, has won the presidential election in Adamawa and Akwa Ibom states.
The former vice president polled a total of 417,611 votes in Adamawa, while his closest rival in the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, got 182,881, with the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, coming a distant third with 105,648 votes
The result was announced by the state collation officer, Prof. Mohammed Mele, who is also the deputy vice-chancellor of the University of Maiduguri.

While in Akwa Ibom Atiku secured 214,012 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 160,620 votes.
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, polled 132,683 votes.
The State Collation Officer, Prof Emmanuel Adigio made the announcement on Monday afternoon.
Atiku’s victory is a big win for Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel, Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, PCC.
